Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers sold firm to 5.00 higher on limited comparable sales. Trade activity was moderate on moderate to good demand. Chance of much needed thunderstorms in the area and a break from triple digit temperatures. Slaughter cows and bulls traded mostly steady. Slaughter cows and bulls made up 10 percent, 4 percent replacements and 86 percent feeders. Feeder supply consisted of 38 percent steers and bulls, 62 percent heifers. Near 54 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.

Steers: Medium and Large 1 few 353 lbs 186.00; 400-500 lbs 163.00- 179.00; 550-600 lbs 147.00-158.00; lot 697 lbs 149.00, few calves 143.50.
