Compared to last sale: feeder steers under 600 lbs traded mostly 3.00 to 7.00
higher while those over 600 lbs traded mostly 2.00 to 6.00 higher with instances
of 8.00 higher. Heifers under 700 lbs traded steady to 11.00 higher. Heifers
over 700 lbs was too thinly traded for an adequate market test. Trade activity
and buyer demand was moderate to good. The run consisted of 100 percent feeder
cattle with 59 percent steers, 40 percent heifers and the remainder feeder
bulls. Feeder cattle weighing over 600 lbs made up approximately 37 percent of
the supply. The next available report will be Friday, December 9, 2016.
